calliope hosts an annual playwrights retreat in beautiful stroudsburg, pennsylvania with a small group of writers, actors, and other theatre artists. at the retreat, we read and workshop current pieces, as well as brainstorm new ideas. many of the works explored at the retreat have gone on to become calliope productions, including children of the future age, mince pies and little white lies, and think of the children. we also start all of our devised work at retreats including six windows presents a hero of our time and, most recently, eye made quiet.
